In this sense it's like wearing an open-face lid. If you're riding in town forget about using the Gringo with a bubble visor: it's like wearing a sauna on your head! If you really want to fit a shield to the Gringo, go for Biltwell's flexible "Blast Shield", which can be popped open to allow a bit of air in (watch this space for a full test of the Blast Shield - once the day job gives me time to write it up!)
As for ventilation to the scalp, bear in mind that most of the fancy air vents you see on helmets nowadays work fine at racing speeds, but are average at best at normal road speeds and nonexistent in urban riding speeds.

MarcMarc Michonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01392425155827219707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8760908920513158669.post-75221781999285469872014-06-26T11:52:05.448+02:002014-06-26T11:52:05.448+02:00The Halcyons featured in the photos are the Mk9 Ri...The Halcyons featured in the photos are the Mk9 Riders and fit perfectly into the helmet's eyeport. They stock the shield in both clear and tinted versions. You must also purchase the strap, which is sold separately, since there are various colours/styles of Airborn strap.Marc Michonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01392425155827219707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8760908920513158669.post-88714958826766977652014-06-05T15:08:59.116+02:002014-06-05T15:08:59.116+02:00I have a question.
